His place was between 1500 and 2000 US, but he suggested there are also shared places where there’s a shared kitchen, a shared pool and you get your own room and these are 300 a month . 9:17-9:43

Just a little info. You can NOT buy a property in Bali. Why? Because westerner not allowed to buy any property. You can only do long lease (long term rental)..lots of Westerner do that. If you want to buy it, it has to be with Indonesian name on the certificate..

So when you hear a westerner said ‘my villa’ it’s not theirs..they just rent for 1, 2,5,20, or maybe 30yrs..
    Still it called ‘renting’

PS: I know your channel is all about selling beautiful dream, but the fact also need to be told. Especially in Bali. (i’m Indonesian living in Bali 😜)

Actually there are several loops in the law and a good lawyer will give you advice on how to proceed. I have a vila in Thailand (Koh Samui) and there is no leasing, it’s mine (my company’s actually). How do you think all big business men and companies do when they need to buy a hotel or a factory? That’s a myth if you know the loops. I recommend a good lawyer company used to deal with big corporations, or, if you are still only thinking about I would recommend the book “Buying Property In Thailand: Essencial Guide”, it’s a big book but it’s a good beginning and will give you good answers. There are several options with their plus and minuses, so you see what fits you better. PS: I dont know about Bali, but in Thailand I’m sure because I did.

Us too! We were there in January and my husband quit his job, our house goes on the market next week, and we are becoming full time travelers!

Starting in Bali in November, trying out other Indonesian islands in December and January!!! So excited!

Christian leblanc and Laura Reid both inspired us! I’ve definitely learned a lot about editing but watching you guys! Thanks so much, hopefully we can meet up sometime.
